In Luanda, the capital city of Angola - I spent three months on an artistic and culturally immersive journey that shaped the narrative of my first solo show, "Undivided Attention." Through my show, I aimed to make the fleeting beauty of everyday moments permanent. A brief glimpse of a person at rest, immortalized though painting to show the beauty of life.
My recurring characters "The Undivided" show the beauty of unity found past the boundaries that often separate us. They are a people free from the constraints of race, gender, religion, or any divisive characteristics.
The simple two-tone palette of the paintings allowed viewers to focus on the scenes at hand and actively engage with the stories unfolding on the gallery walls, each piece aimed to bridge the gap between art and audience.

“2 Perspectives” is an interactive art piece that invites you to explore the concept of understanding through distance. When standing close to one perspective (the piece in the forefront), the other becomes obscured, a visual metaphor for the inherent challenge of comprehending alternative viewpoints without creating distance. "2 Perspectives" calls for empathy and the recognition that sometimes we must intentionally distance ourselves from our immediate reality and worldview to grasp the richness or sadness of someone else's experience.
